Denver weather: Cloudy conditions continue Monday at 5,280′

Continued cloudy conditions Monday around metro Denver will keep temperatures cooler with the chance of rain, but only for a short time period.

Denver residents can expect a 20% chance of showers after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. It’ll be mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. South southeast winds between 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph, will blow.

Tonight, there is a 30% chance of showers. It’ll be mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. South southeast winds between 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph, will blow.

Both Tuesday and Wednesday, residents of the Mile High City will see a return to above-average temperatures (mid 70s forecast) and no shower chances.

Another cool down closes the week out starting Thursday, with rain possible and high temperatures back into the 60s.

Here’s the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 79. South wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 65.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 64.
