Xcel Energy updates electrical outage map

Xcel Energy has updated its online power outage map with user-friendly features to help customers stay informed and prepared. The website provides real-time information about power outages, and now customers can quickly sort by county or state to find data during severe weather events.

The page will display the number of customers without power and, if available, the anticipated restoration time.

New features to improve information alerts about planned and active Public Safety Power Shutoff events, including the ability to show anticipated areas of impact and associated outages, creating an improved experience in the rare event of such shutoffs, which may take place when wind or other hazards require power shutoffs to prevent fires or other damage.

The map is now available in both English and Spanish, making it easier to use on phones and mobile devices, and it is always accessible on the Xcel Energy app.
