CSU picked seventh, Air Force last in Mountain West men’s basketball preseason poll
Colorado State men’s basketball was picked seventh and Air Force was picked 12th in the Mountain West preseason poll as voted on by select media.
The poll was announced Thursday.
San Diego State was picked first and received all of the first-place votes (26). The Aztecs earned 312 points. Utah State was picked second with 275 points while Boise State was third with 260 points.
Air Force had no players selected to the 10-person All-Mountain West preseason team, which was headlined by preseason Player of the Year Miles Byrd of San Diego State.
Colorado State also had no one voted to the preseason all-conference team.
The Falcons went 4-28 in 2024-2025 with one conference win, over Fresno State.
Air Force has eight returning players from last year’s roster, including two-time Mountain West freshman of the week Kyle Marshall.
The Falcons welcome nine freshman to this year’s lineup.
Air Force opens the season in Nashville against Belmont University on Nov. 3. Colorado State opens the season the same day against Incarnate Word.
