Movie rundown for the weekend through Oct. 23: ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ opens
OPENING
“Blue Moon” — (Biography, R, 100 minutes). Tells the story of Lorenz Hart’s struggle with mental health and alcoholism.
“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” — (Anime, R, 100 minutes). Denji faces a deadly battle after Reze comes into his life.
“Dude” — (Action, not rated, 140 minutes). When Kural has romantic troubles, her childhood friend Agan must try to ensure her happiness while hiding his feelings for her.
“Frankenstein” — (Horror, R, 149 minutes). In a monstrous experiment, a brilliant, egotistical scientist brings a creature to life, unaware that this will lead to his and his creation’s undoing.
“Last Days” — (Action, PG-13, 120 minutes). Authorities attempt to stop a 26-year-old missionary traveling to the remote North Sentinel Island with hopes to convert an isolated tribe.
“Mitski: The Land” — (Documentary, not rated, 78 minutes). Mitski performs “The Land Is Inhospitable” and “So Are We” at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in 2024.
“Off School Property” — (Documentary, not rated, 90 minutes). Tells about the lasting impact on students, schools and society after the Bible was removed from public education.
“Regretting You” — (Drama, PG-13, 117 minutes). After Morgan’s husband’s death, she and her teenage daughter must try to navigate life’s challenges together even though their relationship is strained.

“Shelby Oaks” — (Horror, R, 99 minutes). While searching for her long-lost sister, she realizes that the imaginary demon from their childhood may be real.
“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” — (Biography, PG-13, 120 minutes). Chronicles Bruce Springsteen’s making of his 1982 “Nebraska” album.

“Stitch Head” — (Animation, PG, 89 minutes). Stitch Head is a small creature who was awoken by a mad professor to protect the professor’s other creations from the townspeople of Grubbers Nubbin.
“TWICE: One in A Million” — (Documentary, not rated, 121 minutes). A look at the band TWICE’s journey on their 10th anniversary of being together.

“A House of Dynamite” — (Thriller, R, 112 minutes). Grade: A, Glenn Whipp. A race against time begins to try to figure out who launched a missile at the United States and how to respond.
“After the Hunt” — (Drama, R, 139 minutes). Grade: B-, Moir MacDonald. After a star pupil makes an accusation against one of her colleagues, a college professor worries that a dark secret from her past may come to light.
“Black Phone 2” — (Horror, R, 114 minutes). Grade: C-, Katie Walsh. While Finn is still struggling with life four years after he was abducted and escaped, his sister starts receiving calls from the black phone in her dreams.
“The Conjuring: Last Rites” — (Horror, R, 135 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren confront mysterious entities during a terrifying case.
“Corpse Bride” — (Animation, PG, 77 minutes). A Tim Burton film about a groom who practices his wedding vows inadvertently in the presence of a deceased young woman. The woman rises from the grave and assumes he has married her.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” — (Animated, R, 155 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Hashira encounter Upper Rank demons while fighting against Muzan Kibutsuji.
“Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” — (Drama, PG, 123 minutes). The Crawley family must learn to accept change, with the next generation taking Downton Abbey into the future.
“Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” — (Comedy, G, 98 minutes). While on a road trip with her grandma, Gabby’s prized dollhouse ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady, so the two go on an adventure to get the Gabby Cats back together and find the dollhouse before it’s too late.
“Good Boy” — (Comedy/Horror, PG-13, 72 minutes). After a loyal dog encounters supernatural forces in the rural home that he and his owner moved into, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves the most.
“Good Fortune” — (Action, R, 98 minutes). A well-meaning but incompetent angel named Gabriel interferes in the lives of a rich venture capitalist and a struggling gig worker.
“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” — (Drama, R, 113 minutes). While her life is crashing down around her, Linda tries to navigate her child’s illness, a hostile relationship with her therapist, her absent husband and more.
“Kiss of the Spider Woman” — (Drama, R, 128 minutes). An unlikely bond forms between Molina, a window dresser convicted of public indecency, and political prisoner Valentín when Molina recounts a Hollywood musical starring Ingrid Luna.
“The Long Walk” — (Horror, R, 108 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. A group of teenage boys must maintain a specific walking speed in a contest known as The Long Walk or be shot.
“One Battle After Another” — (Action, R, 161 minutes). Grade: A, Katie Walsh. A group of ex-revolutionaries reunite after one of their daughters goes missing when their enemy resurfaces after 16 years.
“ParaNorman” Remastered — (Animation, PG, 92 minutes). To save his town from a centuries-old curse, a misunderstood boy battles ghosts, zombies and grown-ups.
“Pets on A Train” — (Animated, PG, 99 minutes). It’s up to Falcon, a petty thief raccoon, and Rex, a righteous police-dog, to save the animals that are caught up in a train heist on a high-speed runway train.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” — (Horror, R, 100 minutes). Caught in a rainstorm, a couple takes refuge in a castle owned by a transvestite mad scientist from outer space who is about to unveil his greatest creation.
“Roofman” — (Drama, R, 126 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. After escaping, Jeffrey Manchester, who was in jail for robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, secretly lives inside a Toys “R” Us while trying to figure out his next move. However, his double life gets harder when he falls for a divorced mom named Leigh.
“The Smashing Machine” — (Action, R, 123 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. The story of Mark Kerr, mixed-martial arts and UFC champion.
“Soul on Fire” — (Drama, PG, 111 minutes). To survive, a young boy must rely on his family, his community and his faith after a devastating accident.
“The Strangers: Chapter 2” — (Horror, R, 96 minutes). When a couple’s vehicle breaks down on their final day of a cross-country road trip, they are forced to spend the night in a remote Airbnb, where they are terrorized by three masked strangers.
“Tron: Ares” — (Action, PG-13, 119 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. Ares, a very sophisticated AI being from the digital world, is sent to the real world to complete a dangerous mission.
“Truth & Treason” — (Drama, PG-13, 120 minutes). After realizing loyalty to his country means loyalty to a lie, a teenage boy in Germany risks everything to expose the truth.
“Urchin” — (Drama, not rated, 99 minutes). After being given a shot at redemption, a young addict living on the streets of London discovers he has been put into a strange situation that he may never be able to escape from.
