The first ski areas in Colorado, as well as in North America, opened up for winter 2025-26 over the weekend of October 25 & 26, with Keystone claiming first resort open on Saturday and Arapahoe Basin second to open on Sunday.
Keystone snuffed Arapahoe Basin’s plans to be first by opening Saturday afternoon for three hours, spoiling their neighbors’ Saturday announcement of intent to open on Sunday.
