One person died after they were involved in a crash with another motorist in southwest Denver early Saturday morning.

Denver Police first posted about the crash, which took place at the intersection of South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Stanford Avenue, on social media at 2 a.m. Saturday.

After first describing it as a crash with “serious injuries,” police added another post about half an hour later saying that one of the motorists was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

All lanes on the roadway had been reopened to traffic by the time of the initial post, police said.
