Denver weather: Breezy, dry and warm Tuesday across the city

A breezy Tuesday around metro Denver is in store, however, down sloping winds keep the air dry and high temperatures will remain on the warm side throughout the day.

Denver residents can expect partly sunny skies today, with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. West winds between 8 to 14 mph will become north northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Tonight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around 39. West southwest winds around 6 mph become south southeast in the evening.

The remainder of the week mimic the beginning of the week; warm and dry with unseasonable conditions. High temperatures will remain in the upper 60s and low 70s through Friday before a change is possible.

Rain and possible late-night/early-morning snow is forecast Saturday and Sunday, however, high temperatures will still be above seasonal averages and the majority of precipitation will stay in the mountains.

Here’s the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70.

Saturday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 63.
