No injuries reported after single engine plane lands on road in Castle Rock

No injuries were reported when the pilot of a single-engine plane landed on a road in Castle Rock on Monday evening, police said.

It happened just before 6:15 p.m. on Prairie Hawk Drive near the intersection with Wolfsenberger Road, just west of Interstate 25. It’s unclear how many people were onboard the plane, a Piper PA-28-235, but Castle Rock police said no injuries were reported, and there are no additional hazards.

Roads in the area were closed while police responded, but reopened just after 8 p.m. Friday, according to the Castle Rock Police Department.
