Police looking for white Dodge pickup suspected of killing a pedestrian in southwest Denver hit-and-run Tuesday
Police are looking for the driver of a car that killed a pedestrian in southwest Denver Tuesday evening.
The car, described as a 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab pickup truck that may have moderate damage on the front driver’s side, killed the pedestrian at the intersection of South Irving Street and West Evans Avenue around 5:15 p.m., according to a news release from Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene, according to a social media post from the Denver Police Department. The driver did not stay on the scene after the collision.
The crash closed eastbound Evans Avenue at Julian Street and Irving Street in both directions while officials investigated the incident, police said.
The victim will be identified by the Denver Medical Examiner pending notification of family and an autopsy.
