Third-seeded Colorado soccer hosts Utah Valley in NCAA Tournament on Friday | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Colorado women’s soccer earned its NCAA Tournament seed.

The Buffs will take a No. 3 seed into a matchup with Utah Valley at 7 p.m. Friday at Prentup Field in Boulder. CU is ranked No. 12 in the country.

Colorado (15-3-3) is in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time since 2020 and will make its third straight appearance. The No. 3 seed is the first time the Buffs have been seeded since being a No. 4 in the 2008 tournament.

Colorado is 7-1-0 in NCAA Tournament games played in Boulder. Eight teams from the Big 12 Conference made the field.

CU set program records for goals (52), assists (58) and points (162) in a single season. Utah Valley (14-4-3) won the WAC regular season title.
