Broncos officially rule out 5 players, including stars J.K. Dobbins, Pat Surtain for big game vs. Chiefs
ENGLEWOOD – The Broncos on Friday officially ruled out five players for Sunday’s big game against Kansas City, including stars J.K. Dobbins at running back and Pat Surtain II at cornerback.
Dobbins suffered a foot injury Nov. 6 against Las Vegas and had been expected all week to be ruled out. It was the same case with Surtain, who will miss his third straight game with a left pectoral strain suffered Oct. 26 against Dallas.
Linebacker Alex Singleton, recovering from Nov. 7 testicular cancer surgery, was officially ruled out after it already had been known he would be out. Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (hamstring) and tight end Nate Adkins (knee), were also ruled out, as expected.
The Broncos listed linebacker Garret Wallow (hamstring) as questionable. He could be activated off injured reserve Saturday after missing the past four games.
The Denver Gazette reported Tuesday that Dobbins could be placed on injured reserve, which remains a possibility. If Dobbins is shelved Saturday, he would miss at least the next four games.
