Denver weather: Breezy on Monday as potential first snow forecast for Friday
After 16 days of no snow in Denver or the metro area, Mile High City folks will still have to wait a few more days for the first snow of the season, but the forecast is promising.
Denver residents can expect mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 59, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Breezy conditions will exist throughout the day with a south southwest wind between 7 to 17 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
Tonight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around 35. South southwest wind around 7 mph.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be above-average again temperature wise with highs in the 60s, but Thursday the shift happens as an area of low pressure sweeps across southern Colorado.
Upslope conditions are forecast for Thursday night/Friday morning and the city might just see its first snow of winter 2025-26 on Friday. If it snows 0.1 inches or more at Denver International Airport on Friday, that date will now be tied with Nov. 21, 1934 for second latest first snow it city history.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. South southwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.
Thursday: A 40% chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 51.
Friday: A chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48.
