Argument in Aurora’s Montview Park leads to shooting, 1 injured

A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he was shot during an argument at Montview Park in Aurora Wednesday night.

Officers first responded to the scene of a reported shooting, at the park’s southwest edge on the corner of Beeler Street and East 17th Avenue, just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Aurora Police Department said in an overnight news release.

Witnesses told police that two men were arguing when one of them pulled out a gun and fired it several times at the other, according to the release. The victim was taken to the hospital; the suspect left before officers arrived and has not yet been found.

Aurora Police Detectives are currently investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about it is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720- 913-7867.
