3 injured in shooting near Denver nightclub

Authorities are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot and injured three people on Wednesday evening.

The Denver Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of North Broadway — just a few blocks from Coors Field — around 10 p.m., according to the agency.

Two people were initially found with injuries and transported to a nearby hospital. A third was found and transported a few moments later, according to social media posts from the department.

All of the victims are expected to survive.

“Preliminary information indicates that this shooting occurred inside one of the businesses in that area. It appears there was some kind of altercation prior to the shooting,” the department told The Denver Gazette on Friday.

No suspect has been arrested yet.

There are an array of nightclubs surrounding the area — including Temple, The Hive and The Church — but the department did not specify if the incident occurred within a nightclub.

Multiple people on Denver’s Reddit forum claimed that the shooting occurred within or near Temple Denver during the club’s 12th Annual All Black Attire Party.

“Everyone got kicked out of that club and the area is a mess,” one Reddit user, TW_Halsey, said.

The Denver Gazette reached out to Temple but did not hear back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
