5 injured in head-on crash that closes U.S. Highway 285 near Conifer
A head-on crash between two vehicles southwest of Conifer on Sunday left five people injured and closed U.S. Highway 285.
The Elk Creek Fire Department posted on social media just after 10:30 a.m. that two vehicles collided on Highway 285 at Jubilee Trail, located between Conifer and Bailey.
Authorities said the two vehicles collided head-on resulting in five injuries. One person was transported to the hospital, officials said.
Highway 285 was closed in both directions near the crash site, but has since reopened on Sunday afternoon.
