Broncos rookie D-lineman Sai’vion Jones active in place of injured D.J. Jones

LAS VEGAS – With defensive lineman D.J. Jones out with an ankle injury, rookie Sai’vion Jones was active for just the second time this season Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

Sai’vion Jones’ only previous game active was Sept. 29 against Cincinnati. The Broncos elected to activate the rookie over former Air Force star Jordan Jackson, who hasn’t been active for a game since Oct. 5 at Philadelphia.

In addition to D.J. Jones and Jackson, inactive for Denver were tight end Nate Adkins, ruled out Friday with a knee injury, outside linebacker Que Robinson, offensive lineman Geron Christian and cornerback Reese Taylor.

Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss returned after missing two games with a hamstring injury.

Inactive for the Raiders were running back Zamir White, wide receivers Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Alex Bachman, quarterback Aidan O’Connell, cornerback Darnay Holmes, tight end Michael Mayer and defensive lineman Leki Fotu.
