MSU Denver volleyball advances to NCAA Elite Eight | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

MSU Denver volleyball dominated Angelo State (25-17, 25-20, 25-22) on Friday to win the South Central Regional in Denver.

The Roadrunners advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the first time in program history with the win.

The Roadrunners won their 20th straight match, the program’s longest streak since 24 consecutive wins in 2022. The win also marks MSU Denver’s 17th home victory, tying the school record set in 2022.

After four consecutive regional final losses — including last season at Angelo State — MSU Denver’s fifth straight trip to the championship match finally ended with a win.

The national quarterfinals begin Thursday in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Roadrunners will learn their seeding Monday.
