Colorado State women’s basketball regains mojo in 70-47 win over Southern Utah | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
Colorado State women’s basketball is back in the win column.
The Rams beat Southern Utah 70-47 on Sunday at Moby Arena after dropping consecutive games against Utah and Stanford. Colorado State got 23 points and five assists from Lexus Bargesser. Hannah Ronsiek and Mckenna Murphy added 11 apiece.
Southern Utah made 5 of 15 shots from 3-point range and only 15 of 57 from the field.
“Going in, we knew that they were going to be a 3-point shooting team, and that’s what hurt us against Utah,” Lexus Bargesser said, according to CSU Athletics. “That was something we focused on and needed to grow in in that way. And so going into this game, we were ready to prove that. We were ready to guard that 3 and be more dynamic that way.”
Bargesser on Monday was named Mountain West player of the week after averaging 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists over two games.
Colorado State (8-2) plays at San Francisco at 3 p.m. Saturday (ESPN+).
