The Broncos have gotten this week’s practice squad in order.

The Broncos on Tuesday officially signed running back Sincere McCormick after he agreed to a deal Monday, re-signed wide receiver Kyrese Rowan and released offensive lineman Marques Cox.

Rowan had been released from the practice squad Dec. 1 after the Broncos signed veteran wide receiver Elijah Moore to the squad. Rowan was still in Denver when he got a call late Monday night about the Broncos wanting to bring him back and to be ready for practice Wednesday.

McCormick got into five games last season for Las Vegas and rushed for 183 yards. McCormick was originally signed as undrafted rookie in 2022 out of Texas-San Antonio. He spent time earlier this season on practice squads of San Francisco and Arizona.

NFL practice squads are 16 players but the Broncos are allowed 17 due to having tight end Patrick Murtagh, a native of Australia, as an exempt international player.

The Broncos, who face Green Bay on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High, entered the week with one spot open on the practice squad after tight end Marcedes Lewis was promoted to 53-man list Saturday and linebacker Garret Wallow was waived to create room. Wallow was claimed Monday off waivers by the 49ers.

Playoff-clinching scenarios announced

After the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 in the 2015 season, it took them nine years to get back to the playoffs.

Now they’re on the verge of a second straight trip.

The NFL on Tuesday announced scenarios in which 11-2 Denver could clinch a playoff berth Sunday. The simplest one is to defeat the Packers (9-3-1).

There is one scenario in which the Broncos can clinch a berth Sunday if they lose to Green Bay. For that to happen, Houston must lose or tie at home to Arizona and Indianapolis must lose or tie at Seattle. But Denver wouldn’t clinch in that scenario if both the Texans and Colts tie.

There are four scenarios in which the Broncos could clinch a berth with a tie. If that were to be the case, they also would need a Houston loss or tie, an Indianapolis loss or tie, a Los Angeles Chargers loss at Kansas City or a Jacksonville loss at home to the New York Jets.

The Broncos cannot clinch the AFC West on Sunday over the Chargers (9-4). The soonest they possibility could win their first division title since 2015 would be Dec. 21.

Bolles ready to ‘feel that juice”

The Broncos on Sunday will play their first home game since they defeated Kansas City 22-19 on Nov. 16.

Since then, the Broncos have had a bye week, won 27-26 at Washington on Nov. 30 and 24-17 at Las Vegas on Sunday. Their 10-game winning streak is the longest since they had an 11-game run in 2012.

“We got a big game coming up next Sunday against the Packers,’’ said left tackle Garett Bolles. “We need Mile High to keep rocking, so that we can feel that love, feel that juice and I know (the fans are) going to show out when they need to show out for us.”
