Woman, 20, arrested following fatal crash in Lakewood
Lakewood authorities arrested a woman at the end of November on suspicion of vehicular homicide following a crash that killed another woman.
Ella Cromwell, 20, faces charges of vehicular homicide, reckless driving and driving under the influence in connection with a fatal crash at the intersection of Kipling Street and West 6th Avenue Frontage Road, according to a Tuesday social media post from the Lakewood Police Department.
The report of the crash, which first came in just before 5 a.m. on Nov. 30, indicated that it involved two vehicles and multiple people were thrown from their seats, according to authorities. Police arrested Cromwell later that same day.
Detectives believe speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors to the crash, according to the release.
