CSU Rams’ Owen Long, Rocky Beers named Group of Five All-Americans | Colorado Sunshine

Where the good news shines

Colorado State’s Owen Long and Rocky Beers were named to the Hero Sports Group of Five All-America first and second team, respectively, on Friday.

The award is the second all-America honor for Long, who was named to the Associated Press’ midseason All-America second team in October. The nation’s leading tackler racked up 151 tackles during the regular season.

Beers turned in one of the top seasons by a tight end in CSU history, breaking the receiving touchdown record at his position with seven on the year. Beers led the Rams in receiving scores and was tied for the second-most by a tight end in FBS this season.

Beers was also recognized by the MW at the end of the season, earning a spot on the all-conference second team.
