QB showdown between Broncos’ Bo Nix, Packers’ Jordan Love as good as it gets | Boos and cheers
Cheers…
to both quarterbacks for an incredible display. This was arguably the best combined performance from Bo Nix and the opposing signal-caller in any Broncos game this season. The young Broncos quarterback was as good as he’s been in the first two seasons of his career, even if the stat line may suggest it isn’t much different from the other big games he’s had. Nix made every big throw necessary, layering balls over the middle for touchdowns and putting them where only his guys could get them. While he had a few interceptions, the Packers’ Jordan Love showed why he’s one of the best in the NFL at the quarterback position with several mind-boggling throws on the way to his 276-yard performance.
Boo…
the cruel, cruel injury gods. In the midst of what was shaping up to be a very memorable game in Denver, Packers star Micah Parsons was taken out of the game due to what is reportedly a torn ACL that ends his season. On the same day Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered the same injury, one of the best defensive players in the league, Parsons, also went down, which is a bummer for football fans everywhere.

Cheers…
to Packers fans for making a fun, playoff-like atmosphere at Mile High. Until the Broncos took over late, the “Go Pack Go!” chants were loud and constant. The Cheeseheads sported by the Green Bay fans were easy to spot, but the Wisconsinites showed up in full force, and honestly, that’s part of what makes a classic December matchup in the NFL. Broncos Country brought it, too, creating an atmosphere as loud as it’s been all season, with the volume increasing with every big Nix throw.
Boo…
Sean Payton for two puzzling decisions to go for it on fourth down just beyond midfield late in the fourth quarter. The Broncos had all the momentum after scoring touchdowns on three straight possessions to take an eight-point lead, so Payton was right to trust his offense the first time as he went for the kill shot, but the second fourth-down attempt at the Green Bay 37-yard line with just over a minute to go was just silly. Even if you need to take a delay of game to give Jeremy Crawshaw five extra yards of space, trust the rookie punter to pin the Packers near their own end zone with no timeouts left.
