One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after a police shooting in Northglenn Friday night.

The shooting took place in the area of 104th Avenue and Bannock Street, the Northglenn Police Department said on social media at 10:16 p.m. Friday. One person was taken to the hospital; the extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

Northglenn police did not immediately respond to a request for more information about the shooting, including why officers opened fire and how bad the person’s injuries are, when asked Saturday afternoon.

The 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the shooting and will provide more information about it as it becomes available.
