The Broncos (12-3) saw their 11-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4).

Here are the grades from the 34-20 loss:

Offense

An uneven performance by quarterback Bo Nix and this group. Nix’s stats (352 yards and one touchdown) don’t look bad but the quarterback threw a bad interception with Denver trying to rally and just looked out of sorts in the second half. Denver ran for 101 yards but fell behind and had to abandon the run for a lot of the game. RJ Harvey continues to show big-play capability with another touchdown.

Grade: C-

Defense

A lot of this loss falls on the Denver defense. Early on, it looked as if the Broncos were going to be harassing Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence all game. But that ended quickly as Lawrence accounted for all four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) for the Jags. Jacksonville got points on five straight drives that led it to a big lead. There are some cracks showing in the Broncos’ defense at a bad time.

Grade: D

Special teams

Wil Lutz, who has been clutch all season, missed a short field goal early in the game. Marvin Mims was not much of a factor in the return game.

Grade: C

Coaching

This loss will be a test for Sean Payton and his staff. The Broncos were out-schemed for much of the game, especially on defense. Payton will make his big bucks in the next couple of days as the Broncos need to be focused Thursday on the Chiefs.
