Multiple people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Northglenn on Sunday morning, which also closed Interstate 25 northbound.

Northglenn police first posted about the crash on social media at 7:44 a.m., which involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle.

The crashed blue semi stopped near the base of an overpass on the right side of the highway, its trailer mangled and sitting on a bed of debris. The passenger vehicle was flipped upside-down.

The interstate was closed at 120th Avenue in the northbound direction while crews responded to the scene, according to the post. Those driving on the interstate had to exit and re-enter the interstate at 120th to detour around the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and will post updates about the interstates reopening when available.
