Denver weather: Above seasonal temperatures Tuesday across metro area

Continued gradual warming Tuesday is forecast around Denver and the metro area as more sunshine and calmer conditions build back in.

Denver residents can expect sunny skies today, with a high near 54, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South winds between 5 to 7 mph become light and variable.

Tonight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around 30. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

High temperatures on the last day of 2025 (Wednesday) and the first day of 2026 (Thursday) will more or less mirror one another with highs in the low 60s. No record setting heat is in the forecast, but pleasant and above seasonal is to be expected.

Some snow will develop in the mountains on Thursday, but stay away from metro Denver. The threat of snow isn’t until Thursday, Jan. 8 and that is even forecast modeled with low certainty currently.

High temperatures will remain in the 60s into the weekend with lows in the lower 30s each night.

Here’s the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

New Year’s: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.
