Northern Colorado’s Quinn Denker earns third Big Sky player of the week award | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

The Big Sky might rename it the Quinn Denker player of the week award.

Northern Colorado’s red-hot guard on Tuesday was named conference player of the week for the third time this season. His latest award followed Denker’s 33-point, eight-rebound, eight-assist performance in an 86-81 win at Colorado, the Bears’ first win over the Buffs since the 1930s.

Denker has familiar company in his hot streak. Ex-Bears stars Langston Reynolds and Saint Thomas also earned at least three Big Sky player of the week awards during their time in Greeley.

Northern Colorado (10-3) opens Big Sky play at Montana State (6-7) at 7 p.m. Thursday (ESPN+).
