Colorado School of Mines women’s basketball swept the week.
Orediggers standouts Sofia Baldessari and Jade Leon earned the RMAC players of the week awards Monday after Mines went 2-0 to kick off 2026.
Baldessari was named offensive player of the week after scoring 45 points in a win over Nelson on Friday. She set the program’s single-game scoring record and added seven rebounds, five steals, one block and one assist. She followed up with a 25-point outing against Northern New Mexico College.
Leon’s defensive award came after she had eight steals and 18 rebounds across the two wins. Both opponents were held below 50 points. She added 27 points over the two games and is averaging four steals per game.
Colorado School of Mines hosts Chadron State at 5 p.m. Thursday.
