Denver Summit FC reveals 3 different venues for inaugural 2026 NWSL season

Denver Summit FC announced Tuesday that it will play its inaugural 2026 NWSL season across three different venues, starting at Empower Field at Mile High and including matches at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The club will open its first season with “The Kickoff” at Empower Field at Mile High on Saturday, March 28 at noon MT. Summit FC will then host select spring matches at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park before moving to Centennial Stadium later in the summer.

The decision to host early-season games at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park is due, in part, to Centennial Stadium not yet being ready to host the club and spectators, according to Denver Summit FC President Jen Millet.

“While we are making tremendous progress on our new stadium in Centennial, we are taking a little extra time to ensure the venue serves our players, fans and community,” Millet said in a press release.

Centennial Stadium is a 12,000-seat temporary venue developed in partnership with the city of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District, and will serve as the club’s home for the 2026 and 2027 seasons while long-term stadium plans move forward.

Final match dates and locations will be confirmed when the NWSL releases its full schedule Thursday.

Tickets for the season opener are available at DenverSummitFC.com.
