Every popular Broncos watering hole, and they’re everywhere, will be packed Saturday afternoon, probably since early in the day, and in case you haven’t decided on a spot here’s one option. A special weekend of Indigenous culture in Estes Park at the First Peoples Festival. Guests will be honored with a Friendship Powwow and its breathtaking Grand Entry on Saturday and Sunday. Meals with food produced on Indigenous farms; an Art Market with Native American art vendors and educational demonstrations; a film symposium tells the stories of “Remaining Native.” Saturday’s highlight is a First People’s Fashion Show. MONDAY
Denver is known nationally for its huge one-of-a-kind tribute Marade, a combination of parade and march honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on his “I Am the Dream” day. Opening at 10 a.m. in Civic Park at the MLK Jr. statue, it moves to Colfax and the State Capitol. drmartinlkingjrchc.org Boulder’s Human Relations Fund and the city offer days of community programs focusing on the King memories and his words. SATURDAY-APRIL
See 52 memorable photographs of the Colorado Scenic and Historic Byways in this traveling photography exhibit from Historic Colorado at the Sangres Art Guild’s 3rd Street Gallery. A free reception from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in Westcliffe at the gallery that will be open Fridays-Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It has been displayed at Denver International Airport and other top locations in the state.
