Movie rundown for the weekend through Jan. 18: ’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ opens

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” — (Horror, not rated, 109 minutes). Dr. Kelson discovers something that could change the world, while Spike joins Jimmy Crystal’s gang.

“All You Need Is Kill” — (Action, R, 81 minutes). Two people try to break free from a time loop they got stuck in during an alien invasion.
“Charlie the Wonderdog” — (Animation, PG, 95 minutes). After being abducted by aliens, a dog gains superpowers and battles an evil cat that is threatening humanity.

“The Choral” — (Drama, R, 113 minutes). After a choral society’s male members enlist in World War I, Dr. Guthrie must recruit teenagers who are dealing with their impending draft into the Army.
“Dead Man’s Wire” — (Drama, R, 105 minutes). In 1977, Tony Kiritsis took the president of the Meridian Mortgage company hostage with a dead man’s wire, with one end of the wire attached to the trigger of a sawed-off shotgun and the other attached to his own neck.
“Mana Shankaravaraprasad Garu” — (Action, not rated, 156 minutes). A security officer sees an opportunity to rebuild relationships while he is protecting his estranged wife and kids from a vengeful ex-cop.
“Night Patrol” — (Horror, R, 104 minutes). A Los Angeles cop finds out that a local task force is hiding a secret that could put local residents in danger.

“Anaconda“— (Comedy, PG-13, 99 minutes). A group of friends in the midst of a midlife crisis encounter unexpected events when they enter the jungle to recreate their favorite movie of their youth.
“Avatar: Fire and Ash” — (Action, PG-13, 195 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. While Jake and Neytiri’s family mourn Neteyam’s death, the conflict on Pandora escalates when they encounter an aggressive Na’vi tribe named the Ash People.
“David” — (Animation, PG, 115 minutes). Follows David’s journey from a humble shepherd to an anointed king and the tests he faces that challenge the limits of faith and courage.
“Father Mother Sister Brother” — (Comedy, R, 110 minutes). Estranged siblings are forced to face unresolved tensions with their emotionally distant parents.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” — (Horror, PG-13, 104 minutes). Anyone can survive five nights, but this time, no one should expect a second chance.
“Greenland 2: Migration” — (Action, PG-13, 98 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. After a comet strike destroys most of the planet, the Garrity family travels across the frozen wasteland in Europe to find a new home.
Gundam Premiere Night (Double Feature) — (Not rated, 175 minutes). Showing of “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt – Path of the Little Challenger” and “Wedge of Interposition.”
“Hamnet” — (Drama, PG-13, 125 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. The story of love and loss that inspired Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”
“The Housemaid“— (Thriller, R, 131 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. Millie takes a job as a live-in housemaid for a wealthy couple to try to get away from her past, but her dream job soon becomes dangerous.
“I Was a Stranger” — (Drama, PG-13, 103 minutes). Survival is uncertain for five strangers whose paths cross one night in the Mediterranean.
“Is This Thing On?” — (Comedy, R, 124 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. After their marriage unravels, Alex seeks purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess tries to navigate co-parenting.
“Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring” — (Action, PG-13, 178 minutes). A Hobbit and eight companions from the Shire go on a journey to destroy the One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron.
“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” — (Action, PG-13, 182 minutes). As armies fight to decide the fate of the world, one Fellowship of the Ring member emerges as the heir to the throne of the Kings of Men.
“Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” — (Action, PG-13, 224 minutes). Frodo Baggins and other members of the Fellowship continue their journey to destroy the One Ring.
“Madagascar” 20th Anniversary — (Animation, PG, 86 minutes). Animals from the New York Zoo must adjust to living in the wild when they are washed ashore in Madagascar.
“Marty Supreme“— (Drama, R, 190 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. Marty Mauser has a dream that no one respects, but he is determined to pursue greatness even if he needs to go to hell and back.
“No Other Choice” — (Drama, R, 139 minutes). After several years of unemployment, a man creates a plan to secure a new job by eliminating his competition.
“The Plague” — (Drama, R, 95 minutes). A socially awkward teen’s anxiety turns into psychological turmoil because of the ruthless hierarchy at a summer water polo camp.
“Primate” — (Horror, R, 99 minutes). Grade: B, Adam Graham. While on a tropical vacation, a group of friends face a tale of horror and survival.
“The Raja Saab” — (Comedy, not rated, 190 minutes). A young heir rises to power as Raja Saab.
“Resurrection” — (Drama, not rated, 160 minutes). In a place where people don’t dream to extend their lives, time still gets warped because some dangerous people still dream.
“Song Sung Blue” — (Music, PG-13, 133 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. The story of Lightning and Thunder, a husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute band, and the heartbreak and success they experience during their musical journey.
“The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants” — (Animation, PG, 96 minutes). SpongeBob encounters challenges and uncovers mysteries on his journey to the ocean’s depths to face the Flying Dutchman’s ghost.
“We Bury the Dead“— (Horror, R, 94 minutes). While searching for her husband after a catastrophic military disaster, Ava discovers that the dead are rising and becoming more violent and dangerous with every passing hour.
“Wicked: For Good” — (Fairy Tale, PG, 138 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. Elphaba and Glinda are driven further apart when Glinda attempts a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard of Oz.
“Zootopia 2” — (Animation, PG, 108 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. Rabbit cop Judy Hopps and the fox Nick Wilde try to crack the most intricate and perilous case of their careers.
