Police arrest 17-year-old in connection with fatal weekend shooting

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting that took place a few days earlier.

The suspect, 17, is suspected of killing one person and injuring three others in an overnight shooting on Sunday, according to a news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies first responded to a report of a shooting at a home north of 96th Avenue and Strasburg Road just before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the release. They found a man with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead.

Authorities found three other people with gunshot wounds who were taken to local hospitals for treatment, according to the release.
