2-year-old dead in Denver; man arrested
Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 2-year-old was found dead Sunday in Denver.
The Denver Police Department said they were called out to a home in the 100 block of South Vrain Street on a report of a toddler who was unresponsive, according to a post Sunday evening on the department’s official X account.
The 2-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Authorities said 38-year-old Nicholas Stout is being held for investigation of first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death in connection with the incident, according to a post on the department’s official X account.
The toddler’s name and cause of death were not immediately released.
