Pedestrian dead after two-vehicle crash in Westminster Friday
A pedestrian died Friday morning after he was hit by two vehicles at the intersection of 96th Avenue and Federal Boulevard in Westminster.
Investigators believe the 39-year-old man walked into traffic and was hit by the two vehicles, Westminster Police Department officials said. Police were called to the area just after 6:30 a.m. Friday and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers remained on the scene and are cooperating with the investigation, police said. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash at this time.
Crews closed Federal Boulevard in the southbound direction between 96th Avenue and Greet Court to investigate the crash, police said. As of 11 a.m. Friday, the roadway has been reopened.
The man will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s office after his next of kin has been identified and an autopsy performed. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Westminster Police at 303-658-4360.
