Broncos sign 6 players to futures contracts, including Calvin Throckmorton, Levelle Bailey, Caleb Lohner
The Broncos on Monday signed six players to future contracts, including two who played in regular-season games in 2025.
All six finished the season on Denver’s practice squad. The two who appeared in games were guard Calvin Throckmorton, who got into 10, and linebacker Levelle Bailey, who appeared in three.
Others to sign were tight end Caleb Lohner, a seventh-round pick last April out of Utah, running backs Deuce Vaughn and Cody Schrader and defensive tackle Jordan Miller.
A source said the Broncos have offered wide receiver Michael Bandy a futures contract but he’s weighing possible offers from at least two other teams before he might commit to Denver. Denver’s practice squad players become street free agents next Monday if they don’t sign with Broncos this week.
A source said the Broncos are not expected to sign to a futures deal quarterback Ben DiNucci, who signed with their practice squad Jan. 19 to serve as the No. 3 quarterback after Bo Nix suffered a season-ending broken right ankle in the 33-30 overtime win over Buffalo in a Jan. 17 divisional playoff game.
