Leftover snow in Denver will continue to melt on Tuesday as temperatures are expected to climb above seasonal average highs.

The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect a high temperature of 48 degrees in Denver on Tuesday. That’s about 4 degrees warmer than the average high for Jan. 27.

Skies will be mostly cloudy on Tuesday, then gradually clearing for some Tuesday afternoon sunshine, the weather service said.

Overnight, skies are expected to be clear with a low dipping to around 23 degrees in Denver.

Meteorologists said temperatures are expected to climb to 52 degrees in Denver on Wednesday, 47 on Thursday and Friday and 53 on Saturday with mostly sunny skies.

On Wednesday night into Thursday, the weather service said there could be a chance for snow in the mountains north of I-70 and west of Estes Park, Nederland and Idaho Springs, but it’s not expected to bring major impacts. Steamboat Springs could see some snow from that storm if it materializes.
