Where the good news shines

Seven RMAC football student-athletes were named to the 2025 Academic All-America Football teams selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Colorado Mesa junior wide receiver Trek Keyworth and Western Colorado junior linebacker Ian Loomis were named first-team Academic All-Americans. Keyworth entered the year with a 3.79 GPA as a business administration major, and Loomis carried a 3.62 GPA as an exercise & sports science major.

The league’s five second-team Academic All-America honorees were Black Hills State University senior defensive lineman Cooper Brown, Colorado Mesa senior defensive back Kash Bradley, Colorado State University Pueblo senior wide receiver Zack Rakowsky, as well as senior quarterback Drew Nash and graduate student offensive lineman Chance Wiening of Western Colorado.
