NEW SUSHI SPOT COMING TO DENVER
The owners of acclaimed glo Noodle House in Denver announced they are opening a new restaurant in Boulder called Odd Rabbit this Spring. It will open at 5845 Arapahoe Ave.
Christopher and Ariana Teigland said in a press release they considered expanding from their Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning restaurant glo Noodle House to another location in Denver, but couldn’t find the right spot.
“We never wanted to force the next step,” Ariana said. “This opportunity actually came from one of our regular guests at glo. He asked if we’d ever considered Boulder, and the moment we saw his space, we could feel the potential.”
The spot will be a bit of a homecoming for the couple, the announcement said. The Teiglands met in Boulder two blocks away at the Blackbelly Market & Restaurant.
“Bringing our story back to the city where we met feels incredibly natural, and we’re honored to soon be a part of Boulder’s incredible restaurant scene as we create something new for the community,” Ariana added.
The 3,500-square-foot restaurant will be able to seat 90 guests inside, and 40 people within the outdoor patio. It will also feature a 10-seat chef’s counter.
Odd Rabbit’s menu will create a “new spin” on many dishes the couple is known for and will have a “traditionally non-traditional” sushi menu. It will have handrolls, sushi specialities and nigiri selections with hamachi, uni and spicy tuna. The menu will also feature noodle dishes like at glo Noodle House.
“With Odd Rabbit, I wanted to slow things down and really focus on the beauty of simplicity. Great fish, well-seasoned rice, clean cuts, while still allowing room for creativity and play,” Christopher said.
ZERO HOMES WILL EXPAND IN COLORADO
A home electrification company’s expansion in Colorado could bring the state at least 53 jobs.
Zero Homes picked the metro Denver area over Austin, Texas for its expansion, Gov. Jared Polis and the state’s economic officials announced last week. The Denver-based company got a $745,000 job growth tax incentive over an eight-year period to help keep the company’s growth in the state, with approval from the Colorado Economic Development Commission.
The company helped create a virtual process to simplify the process and reduce the cost of electrification projects for both homeowners and installers. It helps manage projects from the design stage to final inspections and rebates.
The expansion will hire positions from software engineers, operations staff and management with an average annual salary of $140,377.
“We’re proud to be building in Colorado and to be leading the charge to rebuild our communities and homes in a more sustainable way,” said Grant Gunnison, Zero Homes Founder & CEO, in a press release. “This support from the state makes a strong statement about what the administration values and the innovation they are willing to back to enable the future we want.”

AIRPORT DEBUTS NEW SPORTS ATTIRE STORE
Denver International Airport opened its first retail store solely dedicated to local sports teams.
Mile High Gameday is a new shop on Concourse B featuring gear from Colorado’s hometown teams such as the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, the new women’s soccer team Denver Summit and more.
“Colorado is widely recognized as a premier sports state and is home to some of the nation’s most passionate fans. So, it’s very exciting to welcome Mile High Gameday to DEN,” said Phil Washington, the airport’s CEO, in a press release.
The store will have licensed team products, the announcement said.
“Mile High Gameday was created to celebrate the incredible sports culture that defines Colorado, and there is no better place to share that pride than Denver International Airport,” stated Mile High Gameday Founder Keith Montoya. “DEN welcomes millions of travelers each year, and we are thrilled to offer them a true taste of the teams, traditions, and energy that make our state so special.”
