Local spot dubbed one of Billboard’s ‘top venues of 2026’ – and it wasn’t Red Rocks
A Colorado music venue got a major nod from Billboard – and it wasn’t the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Among of list of 28 venues featured on Billboard’s ‘Top Music Venues of 2026,’ Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs was dubbed the ‘Top West Coast Amphitheater.’ This award comes less than two years after the venue opened on the city’s north side.
Known for a stunning mountain view that’s perfect for sunsets and a section of fireside lounging that stretches across the middle of the venue, Ford Amphitheater has changed the music scene in Olympic City, U.S.A. in a major way. Found in what could be described as the city’s newest entertainment district, the venue’s capacity is about 8,000 people and its already proven capable of attracting major touring acts.
Here’s a breakdown of who’s performing at Ford Amphitheater this year with more shows soon to be announced:
June 5: Yo-Yo Ma with the Colorado Symphony
June 18: O.A.R. with Gavin DeGraw and Phantom Planet
August 1: The Black Crowes and Whiskey Myers with Southall
August 8: Lindsey Stirling with PVRIS
August 14: Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas with Theo Lawrence
