Man charged over alleged Adams County bomb threat
District attorneys charged a man Wednesday for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to the Adams County Courthouse.
Steven Sandoval, 47, faces charges of false report of explosives, weapons or harmful substances and false reporting an emergency, according to a Wednesday news release from the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Officials closed the courthouse last Wednesday morning beginning around 8:15 a.m., the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said on social media. The Brighton Police Department investigated the threat and reopened the courthouse at noon.
Sandoval’s next court appearance will take place on March 4 at 9 a.m. in Adams County District Court Division V.
