1 dead, another hospitalized after southwest Denver shooting

One person died and another was hospitalized after shooting in southwest Denver Saturday, Denver Police said.

Police first posted on social media at 5:42 a.m. Saturday saying that a man was taken to the hospital with leg injuries after a shooting in the 1500 block of West Maple Avenue.

They then followed up that a second victim was found and pronounced dead on the scene in another post 45 minutes later. That victim was also taken to the hospital with the extent of their injuries unknown.
