Mother of young handyman pleads for help to replace son’s stolen tools
The online community is raising money to help Isaiah Kilbourn, a young handyman, replace his stolen tools through a GoFundMe posting.
Kilbourn’s family said he does everything from plumbing to drywall.
While he was shopping at a Home Depot store, someone broke into his truck and stole his tools, his mother said.
“These aren’t just tools — they’re the foundation of his livelihood and the way he supports himself,” Christina Kilbourn posted on the fundraising site.
“Without his tools, Isaiah is unable to take on jobs or continue the work he loves. It’s been incredibly stressful for both of us, knowing that every day without his equipment means another day he can’t earn a living,” she said.
Replacing his tools would help him get back on his feet, Christina Kilbourn said.
As of Friday morning, the page has raised roughly $1,000. The Kilbourns said the goal is to raise $1,800.
