Broncos QB Bo Nix, wife Izzy welcomed birth of first child on his 26th birthday
Bo Nix and his wife Izzy on Wednesday announced that their first child was born Feb. 25.
The birth of daughter Riley Belle Nix happened on the 26th birthday of the Broncos quarterback.
“The best birthday party I’ve ever been to!!!!!!,” Izzy Nix wrote on social media.
Izzy Nix posted a photo of the smiling couple with the baby girl. She wrote that she weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces at birth.
Nix is working his way back from a broken right ankle suffered in a 33-30 overtime win over Buffalo in a divisional playoff game Jan. 17. He sat out Denver’s 10-7 loss to New England in the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 25.
Nix told reporters Jan. 28 that he expected to have recovered from the injury in four-to-six weeks. His wife also posted a photo of Nix carrying the baby with no cast or brace visible on his right ankle.
Signing bonus for Bandy
When the Broncos signed wide receiver Michael Bandy on Feb. 19, his deal included a $10,000 signing bonus.
Bandy, who finished the season on the practice squad, did not sign a futures deal when first eligible Jan. 26 and became a free agent Feb. 2. A source had told The Denver Gazette in January that at least two other teams had shown interest in the receiver.
The signing bonus played a role in Bandy returning to Denver for a fourth straight season. He signed a nonguaranteed one-year deal worth the minimum $1.075 million for 2026.
