Highly-rated distillery expands to another mountain town with new spot in historic barn

Tucked on the northwest edge of Steamboat Springs is the highly-rated Mythology Distillery, an award-winning spot perhaps best known for its whiskey offerings. As of March 6, an in-person tasting experience of the company’s product is now more accessible for many Coloradans and tourists, alike.

Heading into the weekend, Mythology Distillery has opened a tasting room in a historic Summit County barn that’s located at 201 N. Main Street in Breckenridge. Those familiar with the Breckenridge area will be able to find the distillery’s new spot next to Rootstalk and just behind Limber Grove and Carvers.

Mythology first opened in Denver in 2018, eventually relocating to Steamboat Springs in 2023, but not before winning numerous accolades along the way. The move didn’t stop praise for the brand either, with the distillery being dubbed the best distillery in the state by ColoradoBIZ in 2024.

Patrons seem to love Mythology Distillery, too, with the Steamboat Springs location rated as 4.6 stars on Google Reviews.

Those looking to get Mythology Distillery delivered to their door may opt to try the brand’s ‘The Untamed Trio” bundle, which includes three popular whiskeys at a price of $240.99. The bundle includes the popular Hell Bear rye and bourbon blend, their Syrah Finished Whiskey, and their Thunderhoof Rye Whiskey. Or – stop by the brand new tasting room next time you’re in Breckenridge to give a wide range of their products a try. They’ve got gin, vodka, and other specialty releases, as well.
