Jamal Murray injury update: Nuggets guard questionable vs. Thunder
There’s a chance the Nuggets have their opening-night starting five back together for a second consecutive game.
Jamal Murray is considered day to day, according to ESPN. Murry is officially listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Thunder in Oklahoma City.
Murray was defending a drive late in the second quarter of Friday’s loss to the N.Y. Knicks when he stepped on Nikola Jokic’s foot and rolled his left ankle. Murray was listed as questionable to return with a left ankle sprain but did not play in the second half.
The Nuggets planned to do some testing Saturday before departing Sunday for Monday’s game in Oklahoma City.
Peyton Watson, who hasn’t played since Feb. 4 with a hamstring strain, remains out, while DaRon Holmes II, KJ Simpson and Curtis Jones are on G League assignments with the Grand Rapids Gold.
The Thunder will be without Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein and Branden Carlson. Alex Caruso (left hip contusion) and Chet Holmgren (illness) are questionable for Oklahoma City.
