A juvenile has been arrested after another juvenile was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Longmont.

According to a Facebook post from the Longmont Public Safety Department, officers responded to the shooting at about 3:53 p.m. Wednesday at the Clover Basin apartment complex in the 4500 block of Redmond Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a dead juvenile inside an apartment.

Another juvenile was taken into custody, police said. Neither the suspect nor the victim were identified by police. Police also did not say what charges the juvenile may be facing in the shooting.

The department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to call the department at (303) 651-8555 and reference Longmont police report #26-3448.

Police said the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the community.
