Denver weather: Another sunny, warm, record-breaking day in March
The Denver area is likely to see another record-breaking temperature for the fourth time this month.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect mostly sunny skies with a high of around 84 degrees in Denver on Tuesday. That’s eight degrees hotter than the previous record for March 24 of 76 degrees, set in 1896.
It is 25 degrees warmer than the average for March 24.
With wind gusts reaching as high as 21 mph, the area hasn’t been put on an official fire warning, but the weather service remains cautious.
“Near-critical fire weather conditions will be in place, especially for the northern plains,” the weather service said.
