Semi-truck crash closes northbound I-25 in Larimer County
A crash involving two semi-trucks left both lanes of Interstate 25 closed in Larimer County Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 5:25 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-25 south of Wellington, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Both trucks were traveling north when the crash happened, with a cause for the crash not yet determined as of 7:50 a.m.
The crash sparked a small brushfire in the center median of the highway, which was quickly extinguished by first responders. No vehicles were caught on fire and no injuries were reported from the crash.
Both directions of I-25 were closed, with the southbound lanes reopening just before 8 a.m. As of 8:30 a.m., the northbound lanes remained closed.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
