Tendit Group shutters operations and lays off all Colorado staff

A Denver-based company that specializes in commercial building services — ranging from landscaping, power washing, window cleaning to concrete paving — announced it’s closing.

The Tendit Group is shuttering its facilities and laying off all staff in Colorado and Arizona, according to a company letter sent to local officials as required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

About 107 workers in Colorado will be affected, according to the WARN notice.

“Despite substantial efforts on the part of management, The Tendit Group, LLC, is unable to turn a profit,” wrote Ray Byrd, The Tendit Group’s chief operating officer, in the letter.

The Tendit Group did not respond for comment.

The Tendit Group, founded in 2019, had operations spanning from Colorado, Arizona and Utah.

The company acquired several service companies across the Mountain West and announced in 2023 they would all be unified under the Tendit Group name and aimed to grow as a leader in facility services in the Rocky Mountain West. Just weeks ago, the company was posting hiring notices on its Facebook page.

Layoffs began April 15, will run until April 30, and affect dozens of maintenance and crew members.
