One dead after early morning shooting in Denver

One person was killed after being shot Friday morning in Denver’s North Park Hill neighborhood.

The victim, who was not identified by police, self-transported to the hospital after being shot, Denver police said in a news release posted at about 3:42 a.m. Police initially did not have the location or circumstances of the shooting, but later said it happened near the intersection of Forest Street and East Thrill Place.

The victim in the shooting was later pronounced dead, police said at about 8:30 a.m. Denver Police Department officers did not say if a suspect has been identified in the killing.
